Keys To Your Successful Corporate Promotion

Getting your brand out there is important. But how you do it also affects not only your bottom line, but your company’s reputation and credentials. Here is a checklist of some key items to consider when running your company’s next promotion.
1) Know your audience. It is very important to research and find out who will be receiving your branded promotional item or corporate gift. Will it be high school-aged students? A mostly female staff? This information is vital to selected and branding the correct item for your promotion.
2) Cross promote whenever possible. A recent customer purchased oversized shopping totes for her business. To ensure the use of them, she initiated a 10% discount to her customers every time they visited her store and used the branded re-useable bags. Fantastic idea.
3) Create hype and buzz around your promotion. Recently a cellular mobility customer took this to heart. For their customers whose membership and contracts were due to expire, our cellular mobility company sent out letters inviting these members to visit and local store and chose a ‘prize’ out of their treasure chest. The ‘prizes’ were of course branded corporate gifts and promotional items. The customer retention rate increased during this promotion and the mobility company has since repeated this event.
4) One of our golf course customers had a remarkable marketing idea. Given that golf courses have difficulty getting repeat business, due to the amount of golf course in any given area, our customer decided to embroider golf hats with their logo on it. Every time a customer showed up with a logoed hat, they were given a complimentary bucket of golf balls for the practice range. It’s the little things that make a huge difference to your customers.
